Inclusive and just Finnish food system

How to make the Finnish food system more just by including immigrants’ perspectives and food practices?

Welcome to the meetingpoint Women's Cafe in English Friday 26th of September, when Aslihan Oguz is our expert of the day. She is a PhD Researcher at Tampere University Peace Research Institute, and has been researching how the Finnish food system can be just by including immigrants’ perspectives and food practices.

Together we will open a conversation (starting at 12.15) about food, identity, belonging, and cultural traditions in Finland. We’ll share thoughts on what we eat here, how easy (or hard) it is to find foods from our own cultures, what food means to us and the ways food connects us to community and home.

Doors open at 12 and no registration needed. The meeting is on first floor in Luckan in Helsinki, in "Hörnet", Yrjönkatu 27. We serve coffee and tea and some snacks. We close the doors at 14.

The Women's Café in English -meetings are organised in a relaxed, informal way around a cup of tea or coffee. Make new friends and get involved in what is happening locally. Welcome!
